Neelkanth Mountain In Badrinath

Nīlakaṇtha (Sanskrit नीलकण्ठ; nīla = "blue",

kaṇtha = "throat") is one the Hindu deity, Shiva's many epithets.

Nilkantha is a major peak of the Garhwal division of the Himalayas, in the Uttarakhand region of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Although substantially lower than the highest peaks of the region, it towers dramatically over the valley of the Alaknanda River and rises 3,474 metres (11,398 ft) above the Hindu pilgrimage site of Badrinath, only 9 km (6 mi) to the east.^[Frank Smythe described the peak as "second only to Siniolchu in Himalayan beauty."^[ 

Eversince I have read Guruji's autobiography ,I was fascinated by the cover of the book which was the picture of enchanting Neelkant mountain.

A few years later We were blessed to have witnessed the magic!!unfolding lively in front of our own eyes.

we got up early in the morning and stood outside of our hotel in the freezing cold to catch a glimpse of the divine sight when The first rays of the morning sun slowly falling on the snow capped mountain … transforming it into a glittering golden jewel ! 

Aaahhh! What a mesmerizing sight it was … finding it hard  to describe in words.

on one side I could really see Shiva's smiling face too. I couldn't control my emotions  for a moment....I just bowed down with all humbleness and touched the ground while in my mind I was chanting "Aum Nama: Shivaya"' . Grateful to Guruparampara and almighty for having granted kind permission to touch our feet on this Devbhoomi.

                                  Among the colorful marigolds, I loved the simplicity of Tulsi
